Biography

I am the Vice-Chancellor of Shanxi University, the Director of Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Chinese Information Processing of Ministry of Education of Shanxi University, the Committee Member in Ministry of Education Institution of Higher Learning Teaching Guidance Committee for Computer Sciences in China, the Director of CCF, the Director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), the Chairman of the Knowledge Engineering and Distributed Intelligence Committee of CAAI, the Chairman of Shanxi Province's Computer Society, and the State Council Expert for Special Allowance in China. I am the editorial board member of the International Journal of Computer Science and Knowledge Engineering, the Journal of Computer Research and Development (In Chinese), and Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (In Chinese). I have published more than 200 papers in both international and national important academic journals and conferences, including in Artificial Intelligence, the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, the IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, SCIENCE CHINA Information Sciences, and so on. As the first completed, I have won 2 First Prize in Shanxi Province's Natural Science Award. I was also consecutive identified as the Chinese Most Cited Researcher from 2014 to 2018 by Elsevier. My Ph.D. student was nominated as the National Excellent 100 Doctoral Dissertation in China, and won the CCF and CAAI Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award.

I am looking for highly-motivated PhD students to work with me on the exciting area of multi-granularity data modeling, graph neural networks, graph representation learning, etc.
